So this was an experiment in motion blur. It didn't turn out exactly like I'd hoped, but it was close. I think there are a few pretty good shots.
The basic idea was to take photos of my friend Tanya spinning in her silk "hammock" using long exposure settings to get maximum blur and ghosting. I wanted to use my speedlight to freeze her right at the end of the exposure but the studio we had access to was too bright for that to work as well as i'd imagined. I'd like to try again but in a darker environment and with a better lighting control. And as always, Tanya was a joy to photograph.
