I recently realized that I only posted one gallery in all of 2018. I took pause to reflect on why that was because I actually took quite a lot of photos over the year. Upon reviewing my library I realized there were 2 reasons for this. First, most of the stuff I shot was not really share worthy. That is to say it was either of a personal nature or there just weren't enough good photos to warrant the time to make an entire gallery page.
The second reason was that lots of the shoots I did where of my friend Tanya modeling the dresses she makes by re-configuring clothes and other fabric sources. I usually consider these pictures as belonging to her. She’s the one that calls me and suggests we go out and shoot. But after talking to here about all this she said she saw no reason I shouldn't go ahead and make a gallery from our shoots.
So here it is. Shots from the dress shoots we did in 2018.
I've posted a few shots from some of these on social media, but never a full gallery from any one of these outings.
I would ask that as you look at these keep in mind that Fashion/Portrait photography is not my thing. I'm not equipped for it and I don't have the natural eye for it. Tanya isn't a professional model and we don't have a small entourage of people to wrangle her hair, manage the lights, and help her adjust the outfits. It's usually just me and her driving around trying to figure out where to shoot about 60 minutes after the shoot was proposed.
